Siobhan Blewitt

Founder | CEO | Portfolio Manager

As Founder, CEO and Portfolio Manager at Frais Capital, Siobhan’s extensive experience includes Partner, Baillieu Stockbroking: Executive Director, Morgan Stanley, Founding Partner Stellan Capital and Honorary Advisor/Chair Royal Australasian College of Surgeons investment committee. Siobhan is a member of the FCJ Sisters and Cottage By The Sea Investment Committees. 

With deep market and macro-economic knowledge, Siobhan provides holistic and tailored investment advice, seeking to understand a client’s full financial position and provide advice specific to their needs, while also providing unique insight and access to the highest quality macro and stock specific research, translating to actionable investment opportunities.

Hasan Tevfik

Investment Strategist, MST

Hasan Tevfik joined MST in 2018 as the Investment Strategist based in Sydney. He is part of a team that concentrates on broader themes within financial markets and their implications for investors. Hasan believes independent research can provide the most objective and insightful analysis to help investors make decisions. He has previously worked as an Australian, European and Global Equity Strategist, with Credit Suisse and Citigroup in Sydney and London. 

Hasan has more than 20 years’ experience in the investment industry and started as a junior investment analyst just before the Asian crisis in 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Hons) from La Trobe University and is a CFA charter holder.

Jarrod Bakker

Research Sales, MST

Jarrod has had a 17-year career in financial markets focussed on equity markets in Asia and Australia. 

Prior to joining MST, Jarrod spent most of his career with Citigroup Global Markets, in roles that included Asia Sales and Trading and running the Australian Hedge Fund Product. 

He is skilled in Sales Trading, Hedge Fund Sales and Bloomberg and Financial Markets and is a strong finance professional with a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

Mike Saba

Fixed Income Consultant, GCI Australia | Investment Committee Member

Michael has been active in the Australian Securities markets for 30 years as an analyst, broker and portfolio manager at major Australian broking houses such as ANZ McCaughan and Goldman Sachs JBWere. Michael specialises in analysis of the full spectrum of instruments in a company’s capital structure, especially hybrids and convertible securities. 

From 2009-2019 Michael started and managed the Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives team at Evans and Partners. This involved overseeing the exchange traded and OTC debt and hybrid dealing desk for primary and secondary trading, as a Portfolio manager for a number of private and public fixed interest portfolios and an Equity Derivatives fund. Michael was a board member for Evans and Partners from 2015-2017 and a member of the firm’s investment committee in 2019.  In the last 10 years Michael has sat on various investment committees in both professional and volunteer roles. Currently Michael advises several investment houses on the fixed interest market, working closely with advisors and portfolio managers on various fixed income portfolios.

Dr Les Coleman

Investment Committee Member | Honorary Fellow University of Melbourne

Les Coleman trained as an engineer, and spent 28 years in senior management positions with resources, manufacturing and finance companies in Australia and overseas. During this time he was trustee of three superannuation funds and director of a dozen unlisted companies, along with four years as a columnist with The Australian.

He then completed a PhD on risk management and joined the University of Melbourne Faculty of Business and Economics in 2004. As an academic, Les had part time roles as a director of Australian Ethical Investment and member of the Investment Committee of Insignia Financial, contributes regularly to the media and delivers executive education programs in Australia and overseas. His academic and practitioner background support an applied research agenda, with eight books and over 30 journal articles on topics as diverse as returns from investment in agriculture, behavioural corporate finance, climate change, wagering markets, and risk management. More recently Les has become interested in metaresearch, or research about research, which prompted his latest book Research in Crisis (Routledge, London, 2021) and two multidisciplinary papers on astrophysics (here and here). Through  OpEds in Australian Financial Review and other media, Les has laid out strategies to improve university governance and research. He is working on a new book entitled Business Case for Sustainability

Celeste Blewitt

Celeste joins Frais Capital with a lead focus on culture, innovation and ideas. Celeste is responsible for developing and curating content, drawing on an extensive career in film and television. As a regular contributor to international social and cultural journals, Celeste is passionate about culture, politics, innovation and society.

Harry Davison Petch

Research Analyst

Harry is a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Finance, at the University of Melbourne. He possesses a profound curiosity for finance, with a particular interest in its intersection with mathematics and statistics. This passion is further amplified by his fascination with global share markets and the intricacies of M&A dealmaking.

Harry’s role as the Student Leader of the Frais Capital Intern Development Program and Research Analyst at Frais Capital has enriched his financial acumen and intensified his curiosity. His commitment to continual growth underscores his dedication to advancing the goals of Frais Capital and its clients.

Genevieve Overell

Genevieve Overell AM

Non-Executive Director

Genevieve Overell is an independent non-executive director with a legal background and extensive corporate, government and community experience.

Previously, Head of Government Advisory Deutsche Bank Australia working alongside the Chief Executive and Heads of businesses across the Australian platform. Previous roles include Victorian Government Deputy Secretary, Head of Environment (Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority) and partner at KPMG.

Genevieve’s current Board roles include Global Infrastructure Hub and Audit Committee (Chair), Victorian Opera (Chair), Cladding Safety Victoria and Audit Committee, Australian British Chamber of Commerce, Deputy National Chair, State Revenue Office Audit Committee Victoria, (Chair) German–Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and NorthWest Melbourne Primary Healthcare Network.

Rob Dalton

Rob Dalton

Non-Executive Director

Rob is an experienced executive with over 35 years’ experience in complex commercial roles and transactions as well as 25 years as an Advisory and Assurance Partner in Big 4 Accounting and Consulting firms.

During his career he has also committed himself in a voluntary Director capacity to renowned institutions including The Victorian College of the Arts, where he was Finance Director for 10 years,  an Advisory Board member at Monash University Accounting and Finance Faculty for 22 years, and Finance Director at the Centre for Hearing Impaired Children for 10 years. As a sportsman, he represented Victoria at the elite level in Field Hockey as a player, coach, and Chairman of the sport for over 25 years. Asked to become a Director of the Richmond Football Club, from 2004 – 2019, Rob held roles including Finance Director, Deputy Chair, Chair of Audit and Risk, and Chair of subsidiary Aligned Leisure.

Over the last two years, Rob has been the CEO of the Australian Sports Commission, Sports Australia and the AIS.

Gerard Satur

Chief Executive Officer, Founder, MST Financial

Gerard Satur is the founder and CEO of the industry leading research platform, MST Financial.  Prior to this Gerard was CEO of MST Capital- a Global Macro Hedge Fund.  A 17-year UBS veteran, in 2010 Gerard returned from the US to Australia to serve as UBS’ head of Securities for Australia and New Zealand. Whilst in the US, Gerard served as UBS’ head of Equities Trading and subsequently, head of Equities for the Americas, managing the risk of the entire equities division across North and South America during the global financial crisis. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from the University of NSW (distinction).
